Here’s how it went…

We did it! We had our Grand Opening! It was so exciting to show you the newly renovated showroom, the new goldsmith studio, and party with you! We had a ribbon cutting with the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce at noon that day.

Karla cut the yellow ribbon, and that means we’re officially open!

The Grand Opening was busy, and we had a great time saying hello to everyone who came in. We shared food, drink, and cake!

We gave away tote bags with our logo on it, and inside were some sweet prizes, including candy and SoapRocks samples. SoapRocks are beautiful, organic soaps that look amazingly like gemstones, and they smell amazing.

Karla also drew names and picked our winners for the Grand Opening Giveaway! Prizes included: a pair of green amethyst, blue topaz, and labradorite earrings by Johanna Berge, which went to Sharon Schmoll –

a reindeer leather and tinthread Saami-inspired bracelet by Liz Bucheit, which went to Kathleen, and a sterling silver citrine and honey druzy pendant by John Hasseler, won by Lisa Schwab –

and the Grand Prize was a 14kt white gold Diamond Heart Pendant from Karla Dison here at KD Fine Jewelers. The Grand Prize winner is JoEllen Lenhardt! Thank you to everyone who entered our drawing, and congrats to the winners!

For those of you who may have missed the Grand Opening, we are located in the same building that used to house Bernie’s Jewelry, on North Broadway in Rochester MN. We always keep coffee, hot chocolate, and hot apple cider on hand, so you can have a hot drink treat any day of the week you visit.
